HFG at the Environmental Media Awards

On Saturday, October 24th The Environmental Media Awards celebrated 25 years of honoring film and television productions and individuals that increase public awareness of environmental issues and inspire personal action on these issues. The Hollywood Food Guild team attended the star-studded event at Warner Bros which honored Gwyneth Paltrow with a Green Parent Award for her work raising awareness on the DARK Act. Other honorees included former Eagles front-man Don Henley, director George Miller, actress Kristin Davis, activist Van Jones, and Zem and James Joaquin for corporate responsibility.

The evening was hosted by former NSYNC member, Lance Bass, who also serves as the Young Hollywood Chair for the organization. The media winners included the feature film Interstellar, documentary Virunga, HBO’s The Newsroom and The Simpsons, and the Reality Show Vice. Our friends at Kiss the Ground were nominated for Best Digital Short for their widely shared video, The Soil Story. To sum up, it was definitely one of those magical Hollywood evenings!
